The sitting Zambian president, Edgar Lunga has called on all and sundry to pray for Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia’s founding father and first president who recently fell I’ll.
The nonagenarian is currently receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed illness at the Maina Soko Medical Centre in Zambia.
Kaunda became president in 1964 and is now believed to be one of the nation’s most important remaining figures from the colonial era in the 1950s. Although Kaunda has been hospitalized many times before, the 97-year-old asked for all and sundry to say a word of prayer to ensure his recovery this time.
