Fire Out at Younis Bashorun

The residents of Younis Bashorun street heaved a sigh of relief as the fire was put out by the men of the Lagos State Fire Service.

The man who was injured by the fire in initial efforts to put it out with extinguishers was taken to the hospital.

There were no other casualties, though the firemen were exhausted, they were eminently satisfied with their efforts.

At this point, it is clear that they are taking account of the damage caused by the fire with the destruction of a diesel delivery truck, a pick-up truck, a road that would definitely require repairs, and a transformer located barely 8 feet from the remains of the vehicles.

The destruction of the transformer sadly ensures that for a while, that area might not have power from the Eko Electricity Distribution Company.

The result is that due to the damage that was caused by the fire from the diesel delivery truck explosion, the residents of Younis Bashorun street and environs would have to run their generators for electricity; then in some cases, more diesel would be required.
