Saudi Arabia issues health prerequisites to attend Hajj

The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health has reconsidered its initial stance on the Hajj pilgrimage with some new guidelines.

According to the new directives only pilgrims between the ages of 18 and 60, who have not been hospitalized in the last six months will be granted entry.

The new guideline was shared via the ministry’s official Twitter handle, in addition, full vaccination proof provided by the pilgrims respective governments or health institutions will be required.

The vaccine taken must be on the approved list that is recognized by the ministry of health within the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“The intended pilgrims must be quarantined for three days if they are classed as foreign pilgrims as soon as they arrive in the kingdom.

The condition of social distancing and wearing of masks must be observed, and other precautionary measures to protect the pilgrims against the spread of the virus.
