As political parties across Nigeria intensify preparations ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Adamawa State has come up with a strategy to woo new members into the party.
The state’s party Chairman said that there is a prize set for the local government area that emerges with the highest number of new members.
The Chairman of the party, Tahir Shehu, said this during the party’s stakeholders meeting in Yola, the state’s capital. Issues deliberated on involved the party and INEC registration.
The party decried the low turnout of registrants in the ongoing continuous voter registration.
After the stakeholders meeting, a press conference was held where the party revealed that it has replaced Senator Grace Bent, who was a Board of Trustees member with Awwal Tukur after she defected from the party to the All Progressives Congress.
