Residents of Aiyetoro, a riverine community in the Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State have again cried to the Nigerian government to come to their aid before the whole town is submerged by ocean surge.

The people feared that the community may soon go into extinction if nothing is done to address the incident of sea incursion troubling them in the last 10 years.

Many houses, schools, and the only church in the community have been lost to the perennial sea incursion.

Despite pleas in the past by the people, nothing seems to have changed and they fear that their community may soon cease to exist if nothing is done about the problem.

The affected people might be forced to relocate to the National Assembly or the State Government House to press home their demand.
