Management and staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, have vowed to adhere strictly to the public procurement act of 2007.
Interim administrator of the NDDC, effiong akwa stated this in Port Harcourt during a two day procurement awareness workshop for management and staff of the NDDC.
Obedience to the nation’s public procurement act of 2007 is one area most institutions and agencies of the federal government have faced series challenges.
And the NDDC being a federal agency established to address development issues in the Niger Delta region is also no left out according to the interim administrator of the the agency, Akwa.
He said the procurement awareness workshop was initiated to bridge the knowledge gap and to ensure that due process and transparency were adhered to strictly during procurement.
The two days procurement awareness workshop would come to a close on Thursday.
