Hours after the suspension of the two months strike by the National leadership of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, the Plateau State chapter of the union has said it has not suspended its strike action and will not resume until every issue is resolved between the Union and Plateau State government.

This follows a fresh disagreement between JUSUN and State Government.

It’s been two months now since courts across Plateau State were deserted following the nationwide strike action embarked upon by the JUSUN, to press home their demand for the financial autonomy of the judiciary.

But after the announcement made by the National body of JUSUN on the suspension of the strike, courts across the State are still under lock and key.

The union accused the state government of trying to carpet some issues yet to be resolved.

However, the leadership of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Plateau State chapter expressed disappointment over the development while calling for an amicable resolution.

The Plateau State High Courts’ premises remain deserted and it is expected to remain so until the Plateau State government fulfills its own part of the bargain with the JUSUN.
