The Nigerian Senate, on Tuesday, asked President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately address the nation over the persistent End SARS protest in a bid to meet their demands.

The lawmakers made the call immediately after a closed-door session that lasted over an hour, where they discussed current happenings around the country.

It’s the third consecutive weeks of the #ENDSARS protest, and the lawmakers are also worried about the ugly turn the peaceful protest has taken, with hoodlums hijacking the whole process.

They believed dialogue is important at this time while calling on the protesters to give the government time to meet their demands.

Senate minority leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, wants the immediate prosecution of the 37 SARS officials fingered by the presidential panel.

One of the seven resolutions reached is for the government to do everything possible to implement the five demands of the #EndSARS protesters, with necessary timelines to rekindle the confidence of Nigerian youths.
