Five journalists and several protesters have been attacked during a peaceful protest organized by some youths who are calling on the government to reform the police and other security organizations.
The attack occurred at the Rainbow Roundabout in the metropolis, as the hoodlums destroyed media equipment in the presence of security officials.
The state government has, therefore, issued a statement condemning the incident.
As at the time of the report, one journalist and another person are in critical condition in the hospital.
