The House of Representatives Committee on Civil Society Organization and Donor Agencies on Tuesday issued a 48-hours ultimatum on the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Clems Agba.

The ultimatum, according to the Committee, is to compel the Minister who has failed for three consecutive times to appear before the Committee to give clarifications on unaccounted donor funds to the North-East.

The Chairman of the Committee said that the decision became imperative after the Minister failed severally to appear before the Committee despite letters sent to him.

The members of the Committee were visibly offended by what they called impunity shown by the Minister and his refusal to communicate officially to the Committee.

A 48-hours ultimatum was, therefore, issued to the Minister.

The Committee was mandated by the House through a motion at the plenary to investigate unaccounted donor funds to the North-East which for some years now, have been ravished by the bloody activities of the Boko Haram insurgency.
