The Special Assistant to the President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media has announced that the president has ordered the reopening of four land borders.
The four borders include the Seme, Illela, Maigatari, and Mfun land borders.
Rice Farmers in Nigeria had earlier called on President Buhari not to open the country’s borders for food importation.

Nigeria shut its borders in the last quarter of last year to address issues such as smuggling, illegal dumping of products, illegal oil bunkering, and other similar activities through neighbouring countries.
