The murder of George Floyd by Minnesota police officers sparked outrage within the black community and beyond. With protests in different parts of America, several celebrities have spoken out to support the Black Lives Matter movement.

One of them is Billie Eilish who spoke against the #Alllivesmatter trend in a post on her Instagram page.

The 18-year-old singer joined the likes of Rihanna and drake to condemn George Floyd’s death citing that the underlying issue was white privilege that enabled people to use the #AllLivesMAtter.

Billie Eilish is not the only singer who has spoken up, Lady Gaga and Beyonce also spoke up to amplify the voices supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.

Some other Celebrities who spoke up include Ellen DeGeneres who used her twitter to account to share her stance against racism and racists, although it came after Don Lemon publicly called out some big names like Oprah Winfrey, Ellen and Tyler perry for being awfully silent.

Tory Lanez reacted to Don lemon’s statement coming to the support of the comedian saying she has always supported the Black Lives matter movement.

Khloe Kardashian is another celebrity who has vowed to use her privilege and platform to fight against racial injustice. She shared a strong message via her Instagram condemning the death of George Floyd and expressed her support to the Black community amidst the protests and riots. Camilla and Shawn Mendes have decided to not just tweet but also act.

The celebrity couple took to the streets of Miami to protest the death of George Floyd, holding Placards and chanting the words “free them all ” outside the Federal Detention Center where some activists were being held. They have also shared powerful messages vie their social media pages.

Billionaire JayZ has spoken to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to ensure that those involved in the murder of George Floyd are properly prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. He also called on politicians and officers in the country to take a stand for what is right.

The protests over George Floyd’s death would definitely be a significant one in the history books
