Even as the people of Jibiya Local Government Area are still nursing the pains of the Nigeria Customs Service accident where 10 of their sons and daughters were killed, a fresh bandits’ attack has occurred in Tsayau Village, under Mallamawa Ward of Jibiya Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday night.
During the attack, four persons were killed, while seven got injured, and 17 were abducted.
Buildings were also razed while animals were rustle and property in the village was destroyed. Among those abducted were housewives and children.
According to a source from the village, Alkasim Tsayau, the bandits arrived at about 7:30 PM, operated for almost four hours with no confrontation from any security agency.
Sources said the village is close to a military base which is about a kilometer away, yet, no help came their way.
Police spokesman, Superintendent of Police Gambo Isah, said he will find out and revert as soon as possible.
