The Edo Restoration Movement has given the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, a 72-Hour ultimatum to turn his resignation for excluding Edo State from the NDDC Board.
The group held a protest at the NDDC Benin city Office led by Comrade Ben Bowei who claimed that should not heed their demand or list an indigene of the state as the Managing Director of the board, the East-West Road will be shut.
The group are calling for an end to the marginalisation of Edo State by the NDDC and want a stop to the injustice. According to Bowei, Edo State is one of the oil producing state and 3rd largest producer of gas in Nigeria.
The ultimatum is due to expire tomorrow.
