Former South African President, Jacob Zuma has in a statement disclosed that should the judges find him guilty, he is willing to serve jail time.

Zuma’s lack of appearance at the corruption allegation hearings led by Justice Ray Zondo seems to be rubbing of the wrong way on the judiciary who has now withheld judgement in the contempt case against him.

Zuma had on multiple occasions skipped hearings citing health issues amongst others. The commission’s lawyers claimed that the former president’s acts are deliberate and he should be slapped with a two-year jail term.

Zuma has now stated that he believes the judge to be acting in bias and maintains his oath of innocence on the primary charges against him.
