Harare Mayor, Jacob Mafume has been denied bail in a follow up to allegations bordering on bribery.
Mafume was rearrested on the 14th of December, 2020 by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission at the Rottenrow court during a hearing.
His lawyers affirmed the news to pressmen saying no charged have been filed against him.
However, more recently, the Mayor was denied bail by Magistrate Ngoni Nduna on grounds that imprisonment is the only remedy as there are existing conditions for him not interfere in the case, a criterion believed he would not be able to sustain if he is freed on bail in the office of the Mayor.
