Youths have allegedly butchered the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Sumaila Local Government Area of Kano State, Pastor Shuaibu Yohana.
Sources in Sumaila said the pastor was killed, following a heated argument over the conversion of a young man in the village.
During the heated argument, the police were invited, but that could not save the situation as the assailants had macheted him to death, burnt his house, the church, and a school during the attack.
His wife was able to sneak out with the children amid the mob since it was dark.
The CAN Chairman in Kano State, Reverend Samuel Adeolu, confirmed the killing but said the association is yet to come out with a position.
When contacted, the Kano state Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Kiyawa said he is yet to briefed on the matter
