Young people have joined individuals, businesses and governments around the world to mark World Environment Day with a focus on solutions to plastic pollution.
In line with this, the inspired youth network has taken the campaign to one of the beaches in Coney Isalnd, Lagos, with a focus of creating awareness towards reducing plastic use, and promote sustainable waste management practices to mitigate climate change and reduce plastic pollution
Programmes Manager of the I.Y.N., Oluwatoyin Adejokun says the implementation of this campaign will lead to a cleaner environment, and positive environmental impacts.
The Inspired Youths also seeks to motivate the public to embrace sustainable waste management practices, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and limit the amount of plastic waste entering the oceans.
