Women’s World Cup 2023 Hosting Rights: South Korea And North Express Interest In A Joint Bid

North and South Korea continue to use sport as a tool to improve diplomatic relations between both nations, as the Korea Football Association have expressed interest in a joint bid with DPR Korea Football Association for the hosting rights of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

The joint bid is one of nine submissions received by FIFA thus far, the others are South Africa, Colombia, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brazil and Bolivia.

The bids thus far, is a record for a Women’s World Cup and depicts the growth and appeal of women’s football. The bidding registration to host the 2023 Women’s World Cup will end on the 16th of April, 2019.
