The African Development Bank, AfDB, has announced that winners of its AgriPitch Competition will walk away with $120,000 in cash prize.
The AgriPitch competition allows young agriculturally minded Nigerians to pitch their ideas before a panel of experts.
This year, the competition held virtually with over 2500 entries from over 30 different countries. The winners were Femi Aiki from Nigeria – Foodlocker who went away with $40,000 while the runner up Noel N’guessan from Cote d’Ivoire – Lono walked away with $20,000 in the Late Start-Up category.
For the Early-Start-Up category, Ikenna Nzewi, Nigerian won the sum of $20,000 for Releaf, while David Matsiko, Uganda earned $10000 for Bringo Fresh.
In the Women category, Elizabeth Gikebe from Kenya won $20,000 for Mhoho Foods, Oluwaseun Sangoleye from Nigeria won $10,000 for Baby Grubz.
