VAR at the centre of United's incredible UCL progress, PSG out

Having lost the first leg at home by 2 goals and depleted with injuries to ten first team players, Manchester United secured an improbable progression into the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League courtesy of a 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.

Romelu Lukaku capitalised on a horrible blind backpass from thiol Kehrer to give United the lead within two minutes of play.

Although Julian Bernat equalised for PSG after some fine team move, Romelu Lukaku restored United’s lead by rebounding on a Marcus Rashford shot, which Gianluigi Buffon fumbled with.

The VAR was at the centre of Manchester United’s incredible comeback as it awarded a 91st-minute controversial penalty to United off Diogo Dalot’s blocked shot, which came off Kimpembe’s arm; Marcus Rashford stepped up, calmly blasting the ball past Buffon for a famous 3-1 win.

It was a familiar experience for PSG, who once again failed to step up to the mental challenge of the UCL as they crashed out from the round of 16 again.
