Update: bandits abduct 11 Pupils, 1 teacher of Hizburrahim Islamiyya School

Following Tuesday night’s abduction by bandits in Faskari, the Deputy Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, and member representing the area, Dalhatu Tafoki, has condemned the recent attack on the Unguwar Sakkai community.

He said 11 pupils of the Hizburrahim Islamic School and one teacher were abducted during the attack.

According to the Deputy Speaker, he received distress calls from the people of the Unguwar Sakkai community, who told him that the bandits visited the village at about 8:pm on Tuesday and laid ambush on the returning victims.

Those abducted comprise of 10 boys between the ages of 10 and 16, an adult suspected to be their teacher, and a girl of about 12-year-old.

The Deputy Speaker advised his constituents to remain calm and vigilant.

He also urged the security officers responsible for the safety of the area to double efforts, towards rescuing the abductees.
