In addition to the incorporated sexual offenders journal which iterates a list of sex related that are now outlawed, Uganda has renewed the ban on homosexuality within its borders after a heated debate by lawmakers.

The lawmakers also deliberated on how consent can be interpreted before or during the act of sex itself drawing controversy as to whether an individual can withdraw a previously granted consent especially if the conditions for the assent are nullified such as protection.

The new legislature documented in the Sexual Offences Bill 2019, also lists the use of date rape drugs, recording sexual activity without consent and some other measures.

Homosexuality in Uganda as well as many other African nations remain a crime which could see culprits serving between seven to fifteen years in prison if caught in the act.
