On this episode of Today with John and Helen our guest, Seun Sangoleye, who is the founder of Baby Crubs, shared if we want our youth to become leaders we need to start trusting and giving them responsibilities at a very young age and help them understand what a leader is and what a leader is not.
She stated that our idea of a leader is the person that takes the biggest responsibility, accomplisher of the greatest things but there more are other sides to it, there’s a part where one has to make sure everybody is served, comfortable, a leader sees things others do not see and is the most uncomfortable.
These she claims are the other side of leadership that we need our youth to know and understand that though there’s glamour and glitz in all of these still there’s the other side of leadership where you are the servant.
She opined that leaders are born and also made, some people are born with innate skills of how and what to do to be a leader, other people can learn how to be a good leader. Even if one is born or learned leadership skills there’s always room for improvement.
