The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State has returned all its State Executives for a second term through a consensus at Saturday’s state congress held at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.

While commending the members of the party for the peaceful process, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, expressed strong optimism that his party, the APC will still retain power both in the state and at the centre come 2023.

The Kogi State Confluence Stadium was the venue of the congress with delegates ready to do the needful, but there was no need for election as there was a consensus arrangement by the party which was affirmed here in the open.

Governor Bello said the decision of the party to retain the Abdullahi Bello-led state executive was in affirmation of the noble job it has done previously.

The Governor who appreciated the APC members in the state for their comportment is hopeful that the APC will retain power in 2023 at all levels.

The congress was conducted by the committee members from the Abuja National Office of the APC in a rancour-free atmosphere and was well attended by all APC members serving at the National Assembly from Kogi State while representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, observed the exercise.
