Somalians torn over Mohamed's tenure extension

After reaching an agreement with regional leaders discontinuing the one man one vote method of elections, Somalia has appointed Mohamed Hussien Roble as the substantive Prime Minister.

This comes few months after the former Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Khaire was reportedly removed after refusing to assent to a 6-year term of governance and failing to come up with a political roadmap for 2021 elections in February.

Roble, with Swedish background, a political novice and a civil engineer, was voted in unanimously by lawmakers and will now hopefully, usher in an efficient electoral process for the elections coming early next year.
