Kenyatta calls for investment in Agriculture

President Uhuru Kenyatta will address Kenyans tomorrow in light of plans to ease the strict COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and also allow for economic activities to resume.

He will also announce new policies that will allow Kenyans to adapt to the new normal, six months after the lockdowns began.

Some of the activities that will hopefully resume include but are not limited to the following: Sporting activities, attending social events such as weddings and funerals, the maximum number of people who will be allowed to gather at events.

The President flew to the capital, Nairobi to discuss the readiness for a possible full reopening, the proceeds from that meeting will be shared with Kenyans tomorrow to ensure that there will be no relapse in the gradual decline of COVID cases in the East-African country.

Kenya has recorded over 38,000 cases of the dreaded COVID-19, with 24,621 recoveries. 244 cases were recorded within the last 24 hours with a total death toll of 691.

While it is too optimistic to expect a full reopening, it is believed that significant economic activities will resume.
