The president of the U.S Soccer Federation has recently resigned after a legal filing stated that the Women Soccer team had fewer responsibilities and were less skilled than their male counterparts.
Cordeiro admitted to the oversight on his part for not reading through the wording of the legal suit which later sparked players protesting the offensive language in an Equal Case Lawsuit.
He has been replaced by Cindy Parlow Cone in the interim, and she will be the first ever president in all of the U.S Soccer history.
