Plateau C.A.N. Advises Politicians Against Desperation

As the nation prepares to hold another general election, politicians have been called upon not to see the game as a do-or-die affair but an opportunity to serve.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Plateau State, made the call during a special prayer session ahead of the general elections at the living faith church headquarters in Jos.

Electioneering period in Nigeria is usually characterized by violence, conflicts, and tension, this perhaps informed the need for the clarion call by CAN.

In his sermon, guest speaker, Rev. S.O. Academy challenged Christians on the need to always call upon the Lord in the face of challenges facing the nation.

The religious body however admonished politicians and the electorate to put the nation first.

Special prayers were also offered for the release of Leah Sharibu and other Boko Haram captives.
