With less than 35 days to the general elections, political parties and their candidates in Plateau State have signed a peace accord with a promise to conduct a peaceful and violence-free election.
The event which took place in Jos was put together by the Dialogue, Reconciliation and Peace Center, DREP.
It was a meeting of key religious and community leaders, political party leaders, and senior INEC officials in the state. The aim was to dialogue towards achieving peaceful elections.
Political parties and their candidates present could not agree any less as they all promised to be peaceful before, during, and after elections after taking turns to sign the peace accord.
