Persons living with disability in Nigeria want President Muhammadu Buhari to sign into law the disability bill before this year’s general election.

The call was made at Karu, Nasarawa State by the Coordinator Joint National Association of Persons Living with Disability, Yusuf Iyodo, at the inauguration of members of the Persons with Disability Presidential Campaign Committee.

The Senior Special Adviser to the President on Persons with Disability, Samuel Ankeli, commended the efforts of the current administration towards alleviating the plight of persons with disability and called on members to make their votes count.

Some members of the Committee expressed confidence that the disability bill if signed into law will solve a number of their problems.
They also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for its provision to ensure persons with disability during the elections to vote.
