The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Adamawa State, says the exit of one of its Board of Trustees members, Senator Grace Bent, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, is a great relief to the ruling party.
It said Senator Bent has been working against the interest of the party.
The Peoples Democratic Party Organizing Secretary, Hamza Madagali, while addressing reporters in Yola, Adamawa State capital, noted that Bent was a political burden.
The PDP in the state, through its Organizing Secretary, said Bent had since been working against the party since she lost the Senatorial Primary Ticket.
The ruling party said Senator Bent was a political burden to the progress of the party.
Similarly, the executives of the PDP in the local government area of Senator Bent, Demsa, said that they are not affected by her defection.
