Palestinian Ambassador, Jamal Choubki has extended his gratitude to Morocco over the immediate humanitarian aid received in the midst of the ongoing attacks by both Israel and Palestine over the last 10 days.

This follows the order of Moroccan King, Mohammed VI to send relief materials to the embattled nation that suffered over 212 deaths and other casualties in Gaza as compared to a mere 12 in Israel, the second of which recently arrived in Jordan.

“I would like to express my thanks to Morocco, the King, the government, and the Moroccan people for their support for the Palestinian people and their firm condemnation of the Israeli aggressions,” he said on Saturday.”

Choubki also called for the international community to impose strong sanctions against Israel claiming that Israeli forces stormed the Al-Aqsa mosque during the month of Ramadan, which instigated their first airstrike from Hamas which has now spiralled to a full-blown show of violence from both parties.

The Al-Aqsa has been a contested site by both parties for many years. While Palestinians want to hold the sole right to pray and allow for visitation, some Israeli’s have pushed for equal rights to use the place as both parties consider it to be the holiest site in their religions.

Israel has also always considered Hamas a terrorist group and has treated it as such, this scenario no different. Unfortunately, Palestine has suffered more casualties but not for lack of trying.

Despite calls from the global community for both parties to ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyahu diclosed that Israel will continue to strike against Gaza as long as is necessary seeing as Gaza has not stopped firing rockets since it begun last week Monday.

The UN amongst others have, however, called for calm as more and more children are victims of the violence, and both parties are edging towards a full-scale war.
