Omoyele Sowore is back in court but this time, he’s got some serious backup! Nigerian playwright, poet and  Nobel Prize winner – Wole Soyinka is in court with him.

According to Sahara Reporters, Sowore asked the court to dismiss the treason charge against him. To this end, Sowore and Bakare refused to take a plea on the new charge. The trial has, however, been adjourned until Thursday as the judge took the step to allow amended charges against the two men to be accommodated in the court’s proceedings.

Also present in court is human rights activist – Shehu Sani who tweeted this recently: “Just arrived at The Federal High Court venue of the Sowore Trial and Professor Soyinka was quick to say..” aha here comes another Criminal like Sowore” and I said “sir you are the patron of the Criminals club”?”
