North East Councilors Demand Free Elections From INEC

All former councilors forum of North East Nigeria from different political parties in the zone have called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to be fair in the conduct of the forth coming elections in accordance to the rule of law. 

The former councilors from Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Taraba, and Adamawa States converged in Gombe to canvas peaceful communal engagement in the forth coming elections.

Stressing the need for the region to elect leaders that will come up with viable solutions to the security challenges bedeviling some communities in the zone, the forum called on the INEC to be fair in the conduct of the forth coming elections.

Gombe State Commissioner for Finance, Muhammed Hassan, who represented Governor Hassan Dankwambo, charged the councilors to intensify voter education at the grassroots.
