Naomi Osaka heads for her 3rd Grand Slam Finals honouring Castile

2018 US Open champion and Japanese fourth seed Naomi Osaka, edged past American Jennifer Brady to reach her third grand slam final in three years.

The 22-year-old who has been vocal since the start of the event in her fight against racial injustice and police brutality in America, honoured Philando Castile,

Castile was a 32-year-old African American who was fatally shot during a traffic stop by police officer Jeronimo Yanez, of Minnesota police department.

The 2019 Australian Open champion will now play Victoria Azarenka, who qualified for the finals for the first time in seven years, on Saturday, September 12 in New York.
