Facebook Founder, Mark Zuckerberg has finally responded to the disparaging accusations against the company’s business model. Not only did Zuckerberg try to discredit the factual evidence brought by Frances Haugens, but he also claims they are illogical.
Mark claims that not only is the business model based on advertisers who do not place their advertisement on content that promotes violence so claims that the social media channels in fact promote violence is counterintuitive to the claims of it putting profits ahead of people.
In addition, he claims some classified information revealed by Lauren Haugens was not in full context. according to him, Facebook had and will continue to do all it can to promote body positivity among young teenage girls contrary to what Lauren suggested in her accusations against the company.
He wrote these and more in a lengthy article posted on the contested platform and claims the platform is doing all it can and will continue to do all in protecting the interest of users on its platform.
