Atletico Madrid’s Luis Suarez has tested positive for coronavirus. This was announced on Monday by the Uruguay national team.
A statement said Suarez and two other team members had tested positive for the virus.
He becomes the latest player to test positive during the international break, following Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and compatriot Mohamed Elneny on duty with the Egyptian national team.
Last month, Cristiano Ronaldo was ruled out of several games including the Champions League clash with Barcelona, after testing positive for coronavirus while on international duty with Portugal.
