Former United States President, Barrack Obama’s very anticipated book – A Promised Land hits the retailers today on sale.
The much-awaited journal which details his experience at the White House has in print as many as 3.4 million copies for the U.S and Canada while another 2.5 million for international readers.
The book is expected to be released in 19 different languages and renowned book stores have begun stocking up in the thousands.
The book was published by Crown Publishers and if Michelle Obama’s becoming is anything to go by the total sum of print copies may not be enough.
Obama who had expected to be done with the book in a year confessed that the writing process truly did not go as he had planned.
Booksellers have expressed optimism about the new book hope that the former president’s memoir will help recover sales which dropped by 70% in some stores.
The book also comes at a time when political tensions in the United States is at an all-time high with Donald Trump yet to concede defeat to Joe Biden.
