covid 19 case in seychelles rises

Seychelles, the Country with the most vaccinated citizens, currently at the 60% mark has disclosed that there is an upward tick in infections and is frantically doing all that it possibly can to contain the spread.

Measures such as closed schools and sport activities, early closure of bars, reduced inter-family visits all similar to the pre-vaccination phase in 2020 have been re-enacted. Many citizens had completed both doses of the Sinopharm vaccine from China and Covishield – an AstraZeneca variant made in India.

Experts have suggested that the newer and more virulent strain of the coronavirus could be responsible for the new outbreak, coupled with reduced compliance with social distancing guidelines and possibly the Easter Break.
