A tanker fire incident which occured in Felele, Lokoja yesterday morning has led to the tragic death of no fewer than 25 individuals.
The tanker reportedly lost control and collided with other vegicles leading to the sad occurence. The Kogi State Government has now declared a 2-day mourning period to honour the lives of the deceased who lost their lives in the inferno.
Many of those who lost their lives included students on their way to school at the time, pedestrians and some of the local residents, some of the commuters in close proximity with the tanker also lost their lives.
The President, Muhammadu Buhari also commiserated with the families of the victims while calling for increased safety preventive measures.
