Kidnapped Student of CAPRO International Ministry Rescued

A student of the Calvary International Ministry also known as CAPRO, Kevin Eze, who was kidnapped on Thursday, April 29, 2021, by armed gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, has been rescued.

It would be recalled that armed gunmen stormed the school located in Barking Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, few kilometers to the Yakubu Gowon International Airport, Haipang, where they kidnapped two students but one escaped during the gun duel between the kidnappers and security operatives while the other was taken away by the abductors.

Eze was rescued in the early hours of Sunday, May 2, by the Troops of Operation Safe Haven in Plateau State which was achieved through intelligence without payment of ransom.

In a statement signed and made available to reporters in Jos by the Media Officer of Operation Safe Haven, Maj. Ibrahim Shittu, the rescued student is hale and hearty and has been reunited with other students in the college.

The security outfit, OPSH, also reassured law-abiding citizens of their safety and its determination to bring lasting peace across its Joint Operational Areas, therefore, solicits further support and cooperation of the general public.
