Police Officers should execute Corporal Punishment in Schools!

The Secretary-General of the Kenya National Union of Teachers, Wilson Sossion has opposed the return to corporal punishment proposal by the George Magoha as a was to curb rising indiscipline in schools.

Instead, Sossion calls for an abolishment of boarding schools so that parents can spend more time disciplining their wards. He disclosed that resuming such punishments in school environment will lead to disastrous consequences, whereas parents were more to blame for neglecting their wards.

In addition, he added that should the corporal punishments be re-introduced, police officers should be stationed to carry out those orders rather than the teachers.
