The kano state governor-elect abba kabir yusuf of the nigeria peoples party (nnpp) extends his appreciation to the people of kano for overwhelmingly voting for him in the recently concluded governorship election which saw him winner of the polls.
Speaking to journalists at his residence, kabir informs that the people’s determination, courage and loyalty to defend their rights through the ballot, was a true demonstration of democracy.
The governor elect particularly commended the people of kano for delivering the governorship seat to the nnpp despite the fact that the party is relatively new.
He reassures the people of kano that their mandate will not be taken for granted, as his administration will continue with laudable policies of qualitative education, empowerment programmes, policies and programmes that promote skills acquisition and entrepreneurship, amonst others.

Meanwhile, the governor-elect commended the independent national electoral commission (inec) the armed forces and other security agencies deployed to the state for maintaining their neutrality by keeping peace in the state and promptly responding to genuine complaints, before, during and after the elections.
