Jigawa extends Eid Al Fitr holiday till Friday

Eid Prayers across Plateau state, Northcentral Nigeria, did not hold following the barn on all praying grounds by the state government in view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
 
Residents held prayer at their various homes with families and loved ones amidst the heavy downpour.

The various praying grounds in the state remain under lock and key, with the presence of heavy security operatives deployed to enforced the order.

Such experience is the first of its kind in recorded history, which was necessitated by the Coronavirus pandemic.

However, the Muslim faithful in the state decided to observe the Sallah prayers in Various homes.

Unlike previous Sallah celebration, the barn on relaxation spots in the state remains effective with security operatives seen enforcing the use of face masks.

Although it’s a new normal for the Muslim faithful on the Plateau, however, they remain hopeful that Allah in his infinite mercy will accept all their prayers and bring to an end to the COVID-19 scourge.
