The Jigawa State government has declared that Friday, the 14th of May is a public holiday.
The Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Hussani Ali Kila made the announcement on behalf of the State Governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
He urged all civil servants to make the most of the holiday to pray for peace, stability and economic transformation. He also encouraged the statesmen to live their lives in accordance to the teachings of Prophet Mohammed.
