Takashi Miyagawa, a showerhead salesman in Japan has been arrested after dating over 35 women just to secure birthday presents from them.
The presents in total worth over hundreds of pounds was gotten from his numerous girlfriends after he reportedly commited to a serious relationship to each one unbeknownst to the others.
In total, the cards and presents summed up to £668. His romance scam was so prolific, his past victims formed a network before filing an official complaint against him in February.
Takashi whose birthday is on the 1st of November gave fictitious dates to his victims spread across the calendar year. Photographs of him were seen with multiple women at different locations including restaurants and parks.
