The presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu has quoted President Muhammadu Buhari as saying security operatives can shoot anyone seen with AK-47 rifles on sight in the bushes.
This directive comes on the heels of rising insecurity across the nation but especially in the Northeast part of the country.
According to the president’s spokesman, the government is willing to result to lethal force as jets are currently being used to transport arms to Zamfara state.
The state has also been declared a no-fly zone and a curfew is underway.
