The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has released 40 of its Operational Vehicules to the National Centre for Disease control, NCDC, to aide Federal Government’s fight against Coronavirus pandemic.
The Commission, in a statement by released its National Commissioner and Chairman information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, on Wednesday, said the development is in response to the request by the Presidential Task Force (PTF), on combating COVID-19 for more vehicles to support the national emergency against the Coronavirus pandemic.

About 40 vehicles comprising 30 pick up vans and others will facilitate the movement of medical personnel for massive contact tracing and testing in Kano State and provide other services in Plateau State. pic.twitter.com/oalAFiLaM3
Okoye said 30 pick up vans have been deployed to Kano to facilitate the movement of medical personnel for massive contact tracing and testing in the state while nine vehicles have been assigned to Plateau State.
The Commission assured Nigerians of its commitment to continue to join hands with all agencies and stakeholders to combat COVID-19 in the country and appealed to all citizens to stay safe by complying with the advise of the medical authorities.
