The Delta State Police Command has deployed massive personnel across the 25 local government areas of the state ahead of Nigeria’s 61st Independence Day Celebration.
Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed, in a statement signed by the Command spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said the massive deployment across the state is to provide adequate security during and after the National Anniversary.
Muhammed while ordering a continuous ‘OPERATION SHOW OF FORCE’ with effect from today in all parts of the state, directed all Area Commanders, DPOs, and Tactical Commanders to deploy officers to all venues of the celebrations and other resort centres against intrusion from mischief-makers.
The CP further urged residents of Delta State to remain law-abiding, while wishing Nigerians in general, a hitch-free Independence Day Celebration.
